Tyneside (Newcastle-Gateshead) Clean Air Zone It is well documented that air pollution is one of the biggest determinants of health and the effects of air pollution disproportionately affect those most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our society - including the young, the old and those with existing health problems. Clean Air and Low Emission Zones in other cities are already being shown to have beneficial effects. Ride For Their Lives have joined forces with Climate Action Newcastle to organise a walk and bike ride to celebrate 2023 start of Tyneside (Newcastle-Gateshead) Clean Air Zone. on Saturday 28 January 2023. gathering from 0930 for photographs, media etc Cyclists and walkers leaving together at 1000 from cafe / meeting area TBC Walk organised by Climate Action Newcastle (www.climateactionnewcastle.com) Ride organised by Ride For Their Lives (contact heather.lambert@ncl.ac.uk for more details) The cycle route will follow the perimeter of the clean air zone as closely as possible; is 12.5k long and mostly flat. It will be on roads with traffic but will keep to side roads as far as possible for safety. This is not an organised marshalled ride, simply a gathering of people

El Departamento de Medio Ambiente y el Colegio Médico Regional de Santiago invitan a colegiados y familiares a realizar un pedaleo grupal simbólico por el aire limpio y la vida de niños y niñas. La actividad es parte de la iniciativa "Rides for theirs lives" y se realizará en la comuna de Ñuñoa, el día 6 de noviembre 2022, entre las 11 y 13 horas, en el marco del movimiento mundial por lograr acuerdos urgentes en las negociaciones climáticas de la COP 27 en Egipto. La cicletada es de carácter familiar, el punto de partida y término será la sede del Colegio Médico Regional de Santiago y se desarrollará fundamentalmente por el circuito dominical sin autos de CicloRecreoVía de avenida Irarrázabal.

El viaje fue coordinado por el Colegio Médico de Chile- Regional de Antofagasta, el viaje fue compartido con una asociación de ontología. El recorrido fue desde el centro de medicina familiar hasta el hospital regional de Antofagasta. Al final del viaje hicieron un comunicado, llamando a la acción climática por parte del gobierno para cerrar las plantas termoeléctricas y discutieron la contaminación del aire.
